Contacting Your Federal Legislator
One of the most effective ways for you to have an impact on federal legislation is to contact your Senator or Representative when an issue of importance is at the front of the legislative agenda. One of the most important functions NDSC governmental affairs plays is to issue “calls for action” to our members letting them know when to contact their elected Congressional representatives.
When we know it is the time to act on issues of importance to ours community, we send all NDSC members and affiliated organizations an email alert. We have done that for years and, thanks to the prompt action of thousands of people just like you, we can tally multiple congressional victories.

Now the NDSC has made that easier and wonderfully more effective with the addition of CapWiz.
Capwiz is an on-line advocacy system designed to cultivate grassroots mobilization by helping youidentify and communicate with your legislators or committee members on important issues when it counts the most. Capwiz offers legislative data and online tools that allow you to have a more active role in the political process.
We can use it to send our email alerts so you can find out quickly about issues that affect us in Congress and at the state
level.

Capwiz·XC contains a comprehensive government directory that is updated regularly allowing you to keep up with changes of legislators and their staff members.
An interactive map helps you find your elected officials with a simple
mouse click or my entering your Zip Code. And, you can use that feature to find legislators’ bio pages. Each bio page with links to contact the legislator, look up key votes, and find staff contact information.
