Convention Workshop Proposal Form NDSC Workshop Proposal Form - 2018 The NDSC is seeking knowledgeable, family friendly speakers to present 1.5 hour workshops on topics related to Down syndrome. Presentations in Spanish are welcome. Presentations should be interactive, hands-on and range the lifespan of individuals with DS. Workshop speakers who are selected will be responsible for securing their own travel and hotel arrangements at their own expense. Honoraria or speaker fees are not available. This policy has allowed the NDSC to keep registration fees affordable and make the convention accessible to all. Workshops are presented Friday, July 13, Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15. If you are not available to present all days, please do not submit a proposal. Your flexibility allows the NDSC to provide a balanced program throughout the weekend. If your workshop is selected and you are also planning to attend the DSMIG Symposium, the NDSC will not schedule you to speak on Friday. Jolie earned her M.Ed in Agency Counseling; and Administration/Supervision from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, VA. She is the Program Director for the National Down Syndrome Congress. Following a career in education she now uses her experience and insight to help families with children with Down syndrome and to work with affiliates across the country. Due to space and balance in programming, proposals are not guaranteed and are subject to approval by the CPC. Notifications of selection will be made mid February.
