Opportunities for Involvement

Volunteer Opportunities

More than 300 volunteers are needed to help us run a successful convention. You are key in helping us find those volunteers! Have friends, family or co-workers in the greater Kansas City area? Tell them about the NDSC and have them get in touch with our convention coordinator. Cheryl can be reached at info@ndsccenter.org, or by calling 770-604-9500 • 800-232-6372 . She’ll make sure the volunteers you recruit are put to work and have a great time too!

Some volunteer jobs can be completed ahead of the event, and some are needed on-site. Shifts can be as short as four hours, or as long as all day. Volunteers can be high school, college or grad students; family members; neighbors; friends; seniors – any civic minded individual willing to share their time to support a great cause!

Volunteer jobs for the General Convention:
  • Registration tables
  • Volunteer Check-in
  • Speaker Check-in
  • Information table & directions
  • Help organize a sharing session
  • Sponsor an event, session or materials
  • Place your supportive message in the program booklet, the Souvenir Journal
  • Help us recruit other volunteers!
