We're More Alike Than Different
The 2008 Convention theme — We’re More Alike Than Different — is the banner of the new national awareness campaign for Down syndrome — possibly the single most important initiative ever undertaken by the NDSC. It will establish a new foundation of acceptance for all people with Down syndrome.
Right now, the We’re More Alike campaign is reaching key audiences — teachers and medical professionals — via their most important publications. Our story is being told by typical adults with Down syndrome, talking of the day-to-day fabric of their lives. By doing so, they show themselves as regular people leading regular and valuable lives.
Donate to More Alike
The More Alike campaign is possible thanks to a generous challenge grant made to the NDSC at the 2007 Convention. We have a year to match the $250,000 challenge. Between now and the end of July, 2008, every donation we receive in support of the campaign will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to the full amount of the challenge.
