Print Public Service Announcements Launched

The More Alike Than Different campaign gets into gear with release of the first wave of print advertising public service announcements.

Five fresh ads created for placement in daily newspapers and regional magazines are now available for download at More Alike campaign headquarters. Each explores a facet of the lives, loves and aspirations of young adults with Down syndrome and challenges readers to learn more.

Early in 2008, these ads appear in publications reaching key segments of the national audience. As resources permit, more segments will be added, however, we need your help getting the message to the general public.

The way to do that is to click here, download the high resolution files and then submit the new print PSAs to your local media outlets, asking them to run them with as much frequency as possible.

Production of TV PSA Rolling

A national talent call has gone out seeking young adults with Down syndrome to appear in the More Alike TV PSAs.

The entries are now being screened by our creative team and the final “cast” will be announced soon.

A special thanks to Gail Williamson, executive director of the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles for all her help in conducting the talent search.

The production of the TV commercials is now being scheduled and you will find notice of the expected completion date here very soon.

A Local and National Campaign

The support of local and regional organizations serving the needs of people with Down syndrome and their families is of crucial importance to the success of the More Alike campaign. It is, however, a national campaign. While we hope you will work to gain placement of the print – and soon the TV – PSAs, we will be working to secure the same with the national media. By working together as a community – as a national movement – the More Alike campaign can make a real and lasting difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome.
