Our movement, together with the larger disabilities community, has made great strides toward securing quality education for all people with cognitive disabilities. Increasingly, school systems are adopting the processes, supports and teaching resources our children need to succeed alongside of their peers. As a parent, teacher or concerned individual, however, you are on the forefront of securing the rights of children with Down syndrome to proper and effective education. We will not attempt to minimize that challenge but offer the content here in support of your efforts to meet it and assure the academic success of all children with Down syndrome.
