What should I consider when I plan my trip?

Whether you are a first-timer or a veteran attendee, this travel information will help you plan your trip to the Convention. Getting to the Convention can be costly so be sure to check out the travel discounts especially for NDSC attendees. The Convention-at-a-Glance and the Convention Brochure are good places to start in gaining an understanding of timing of all events for the convention. Both documents will be available in 2019. All food and beverage is the responsibility of the convention attendee so please review the dining options when making your plans and budgeting your trip.

Hotel Reservation Information

The discounted NDSC hotel block at the Omni is still open. Reserve your room at OMNI RESERVATIONS

Things you should know about our room blocks.

  • The NDSC discounted rate at the Omni is $159 per night plus state and local tax (14%) plus any additional hotel fees.
  • The NDSC discounted rate at the Westin is $164 per night plus state and local tax (14%) plus any additional hotel fees.
  • The block rate is available for 3 days prior to and 3 days after the event.
  • The last date to reserve any available rooms at the discounted rate is 5:00pm ET, June 4, 2019.

Hotel Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made by June 4, 2019. One night stay will be retained by the hotel for cancellations made after this date.

Meal Plan

Their will be no meal plan offered at the 2019 Convention.


Grab n’ Go Stations will be available at the Convention Center for cash sales during peak periods.

  • Friday: 12:00 – 2:00 pm
  • Friday: 4:00 – 6:00 pm
  • Saturday: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

A coffee shop in the East Lobby Entrance of the Convention Center will be open each morning.

Evening of Champions Dinner

Evening of Champions

On Saturday June 29th, the NDSC will host its annual Saturday Night Dinner, Evening of Champions. This is a ticketed event and includes a plated dinner. A ticket is required for attendance and must be purchased during registration. Adult tickets cost $45; Children 12 and under cost $20. Tickets will NOT be sold on-site.

The airport is approximately a 25 minute drive to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

Pittsburgh Transportation Group is offering a discount on transportation to/from the airport. This discount will include Super Shuttle as well as ExecuCar.

A 700-car parking garage with an 8′ clearance is available at the Convention Center.
The entrance is located on 10th Street.

On-site parking, $22 daily
Valet parking, $29 daily


Self-parking is offered in the Mellon Square parking garage located across from the hotel.
Rates are:

  • $19 Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • $6 Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 5:59 a.m.
  • (Day rates start at 6:00 a.m.) and all day Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays and weekends.
  • There are no in/out privileges for this lot.

Valet parking is available to overnight guests ($36 per night) and includes in/out privileges.
Please note that valet can park only standard size vehicles, no oversize vehicles can be accommodated.
