About NDAC
The National Down Syndrome Advocacy Coalition (“NDAC”) is the grassroots advocacy program of the National Down Syndrome Congress (“NDSC”). It is designed to educate individuals with Down syndrome, their family members, groups, and other allies about policy issues and give them the advocacy tools and techniques to effectively advocate for change.
NDAC brings together advocates of all abilities and levels of experience from across the country to use their voices for change. NDAC is a broad coalition of advocates and groups who are effectively engaging with elected officials, agencies, and other key decision makers to promote policy change that benefits people with Down syndrome and their families.
NDSC welcomes individual advocates of all abilities and advocacy experience levels to become NDAC Members. NDSC also invites organizations at the local, state, or national level including Down syndrome-specific groups, cross-disability organizations, other disability-focused groups and allied organizations to join NDAC. NDAC Members collaborate with NDSC on outreach, messaging, and information-sharing to strengthen our collective advocacy efforts.
Anyone passionate about advocating for people with Down syndrome can join by completing an NDAC Member application and agreeing to the Terms of Membership.
