Each year, thousands of people from across the globe attend the NDSC Annual Convention. For most, it’s to hear the latest information from world-renowned experts. For others, it’s a great vacation. However, for nearly all, it is the one-of-a-kind NDSC “giant family reunion” feeling that permeates the convention weekend that brings them back year after year.
2025 NDSC Convention Youth & Adults Conference Workshops – Open
The 2025 NDSC General Conference Workshop Proposal Submission Form is now closed. Speakers will be contacted in February 2025 if they have been selected.
The 2025 NDSC Youth & Adults Conference Workshop Proposal Submission Form is open until February 23, 2025.
The Youth & Adults (Y&A) Conference is the heart and soul of the NDSC Annual Convention. With the support of the NDSC Youth & Adults Conference Team, this conference is planned and presented by self-advocates for self-advocates. Each 45 minute session should be designed to be a fun, educational, empowering, and inspiring experience for self-advocates (individuals with Down syndrome) ages 15 and older.

Practical in nature, this conference will engage participants in identifying and implementing strategies applicable to K-12 classrooms.
Our Educators Conferences offer hands-on, research-based strategies that general education and special education teachers can implement immediately to best support their students with Down syndrome and intellectual disability.
Attendees will leave equipped with ideas, tips, strategies, tools, and solutions they can implement in the classroom.
- Addressing BEHAVIOR through effective strategies
- Literacy strategies to facilitate READING DEVELOPMENT
- Proven practices for INCLUSION
- Strategies for ACCESS for all
- Integrating ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE in learning
- Planning and designing CURRICULUM
