Planned Giving & Employer Matching
The National Down Syndrome Congress has created a wonderful Planned Giving guide, filled with traditional opportunities to help provide a bright future for people with Down syndrome.
However, in this day and age, planned giving can come in many forms that can truly provide great continual support for the NDSC.
Here are some ideas to consider when choosing options to donate;
- Is it your birthday? Ask that your friends donate your age in dollars to the NDSC!
- How about a special Anniversary? Ask family and friends to donate your special year to the NDSC. This is a great way to celebrate those milestone years such as 25, 35 and the golden 50th!
- Although we know that the loss of a loved one is difficult, we are also aware that a high percentage of families direct donations to a designated charity as a memorial. Please consider the NDSC if you have to make that choice.
- Honorariums are a wonderful way to celebrate friends and family! “In Honor of” donations are often directed to a charity when a person achieves a milestone such as a job advancement or an award. Please consider the NDSC as an Honorarium designee.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Did you know that your employer may match a donation that you make to the NDSC? Approximately two-thirds of companies match employee donations as part of a corporate philanthropy program. Not just the big companies. Companies of all sizes will match donations that their employees make to charitable organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they must request a match from their employer, who then makes a donation to the same organization.

Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
If your place of business participates in the annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the NDSC would be grateful if you chose us as your donation recipients. If you are not sure if your business participates ask your Human Resource Director! Our CFC number is 12212.
