Welcome Tiffany Williams – New DSAIA Program Coordinator!
Dear NDSC & DSAIA Friends and Partners,
We are pleased to announce that we have completed our search for a DSAIA Program Coordinator. This role will focus on continuing the work related to affiliate membership growth and support for Down syndrome organizations nationwide by enhancing affiliate engagement and ensuring that members have access to valuable resources, training, and support. We sought an individual for this position who has a proven ability to collaborate as a leader and possesses a high level of emotional intelligence. This person will join the NDSC Staff Team and report directly to the NDSC Executive Director, Jim Hudson.
After a thorough search with several qualified candidates, we offered the position to Tiffany Williams from North Carolina a few weeks ago, and she accepted it with excitement. Her first day is today, June 23rd. If you work for or serve on the board of a Down Syndrome affiliate, feel free to send her a note to welcome her and introduce yourself. She can be reached at tiffany@ndsccenter.org.
Tiffany holds a Master’s degree in Social Work. Professionally, she has worked for the Coalition of Texans with Disabilities, as well as in several other community-focused roles. She has experience in planning programs and events, building coalitions, and leading advocacy initiatives. Additionally, she is the mother of a daughter with Down syndrome, which motivated her to attend a DSAIA Conference a few years back and continues to fuel her passion for this work.
During the interview process with Tiffany, the Interview Team and I found her to be bright, personable, eager to learn, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and capable of bringing people together around a common passion. Her references spoke very highly of her. I have complete confidence in her ability to build upon the impactful legacy that DSAIA has established over the years and to lead it as we enter the next phase of development now that DSAIA operates under the NDSC umbrella.
Sincerely,
Jim Hudson
NDSC Executive Director
